Sente Open House and Town Hall Meeting Draws Large Crowd

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, welcomed more than 40 residents and community leaders to her district office open house and town hall meeting Thursday night. In addition to helping familiarize residents with services available through her full-time constituent service office, Sente provided a legislative update and fielded a variety of questions from those in attendance.

"As the state's budget discussions continue, it is my priority to bring the conversation into the community in order to identify practical solutions that do not place undue hardships on the middle-class families I represent," Sente said. "It is my hope that residents will continue to connect with me as I walk door-to-door, host community meetings and attend local events, because their participation helps me serve as a strong voice for our district in the General Assembly."

Sente's office recently moved to the Laschen Community Center, located at 294 Evergreen Drive in Vernon Hills. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To seek assistance with a state issue or to schedule an appointment, call 847-478-9909 or email

Sente’s Town Hall Meeting attracted a large number of residents who were interested in discussing state issues as a community.
